There are several media theories that can be applied to our rap music videos, and for me, the most important theory which links to our music video is to cultivate theories. The cultivation theory suggests that prolonged exposure to certain media content can shape the audience's perception of reality and influence their beliefs and attitudes. Therefore, for our rap music videos, they often depict urban life, gambling, and drinking, and the cultivation theory suggests that repeated exposure to these themes in music videos may affect the audience's perception of the world and its values. For example, if the audience watches many rap music videos that beautify material wealth and reputation, they may begin to value these things more than other aspects of life. For example, in our sports car footage, we chose to use sports cars to participate in the recording because sports cars attract the audience's attention and we can maximize the audience's attention to our music videos
For example, in our music videos, our shots are all instilling a very rap music style into the audience. According to the cultivation theory, long-term exposure to a media can shape the audience's view of reality. For example, our music videos have many scenes of gambling, drinking, and driving sports cars. This will create a very vibe style for the audience and also attract them to come and see our music video
Our music video targets teenagers because rap music is usually aimed at teenagers, as it has always been a popular genre among young people throughout history. The common themes and themes in rap music, such as rebellion, social commentary, and personal expression, resonate with many teenagers who are experiencing a period of self discovery and often feel misunderstood by adults. In addition, teenagers are more likely to accept new and alternative forms of music, and are more likely to explore different genres and subculture. Rap music is often associated with youth culture, fashion, and lifestyle, which further increases its appeal among young people.
